The City of Prague
5 Day Trip

Day one:

After arriving in Prague we will have time to settle into the Hotel, then head out for some evening shots. We will go to the Charles Bridge area for views of the castle across the Vltava river. There are numerous positions giving opportunities to include Charles Bridge into the photo. Tripods essential!

Day two:
Venture out before breakfast, again to Charles Bridge for the sunrise, quite often there are fishermen in the river adding to some foreground interest.

After breakfast we will head to the Jewish Cemetery, the route in the cemetery is restricted but the pace is unhurried giving ample time for some very evocative shots.

We will then walk back into the Old Town Square, taking shots of the painted buildings and astronomical clock. There is the opportunity to ascend the clock tower for views down onto the square, for those who are ok with heights!

We will continue to explore the area including Wenceslas Square for it’s Art Deco buildings and historic monuments.

For the sunset shot, we will go to a high viewpoint from which you can see the multiple bridges crossing the river.

Day three:
For those that wish another sunrise opportunity at Charles Bridge, this time going onto the bridge to look back at the many spires of the Old Town, capturing the sunlight on the cobbles.

After breakfast we will visit the Castle and grounds, ensuring we visit the main sights of Golden Lane and St. Vitus Cathedral. There will be plenty of time to wander around the grounds to capture shots of the gardens or climb the bell tower for panoramic city views.

En-rote to the castle we will take some photo’s on Kampa Island, traditional architecture with many cobbled roads.

After the castle we will ascend Petrin hill, aiming to take some photo’s of the wooden Church of St. Michael prior to panoramic views of the city.

Day four:
To avoid the crowds we will be taking a leisurely walk along the riverside down to Vysehrad. We will be stopping for photo’s on the way, ensuring we capture details such as the doors of the Goethe Institute and the Gehry designed ‘Dancing building’.

We will also experience a traditional aspect of life in Prague….a brewery, where we can sample traditional ales and food. Photo’s of the brewing vats and beer pumps are best taken before sampling the ales!

For the final evening photo’s we will aim to capture the nightlife in the Old Town Square.

Day five:
Freetime before transfer to the airport.
